Job summary

H&K Equipment is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to service a range of material handling equipment at customer sites throughout the tristate area. The ideal candidate will work independently with limited supervision and maintain safety and quality in every job.

You will diagnose and repair heavy lift equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and document service records. Must own tools and have a clean driving record for on-site visits.

Qualifications

• Must have own tools for on-site service.
• Experience servicing heavy lift equipment (diesel, electric or LP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and service heavy lift equipment to diagnose technical problems.
• Determine required repairs.
• Maintain equipment service records.
• Conduct regular preventative maintenance tasks on-site at customers' locations.
• Test mechanical equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications.
• Hydraulic and diesel experience is necessary.
• Strong electrical aptitude is necessary.
• Must have a clean, safe driving record.
• Prior mechanical and technical experience on large mobile equipment preferred (Forklifts preferable).
• Applicant must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, physical exam, and background check.
