Job summary

Shoppa’s Material Handling is seeking a Field Service Technician in Fort Worth to inspect, diagnose, and repair forklifts and related equipment on-site. You will explain repairs and costs to customers and complete electronic work orders on company tablets, ensuring safety and quality at every stop.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of material handling experience, own tools, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• You have 2+ years of experience with material handling, heavy industrial, auto, truck, or military equipment.
• You’ll need to have your own set of mechanical tools.
• You have strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• You take pride in delivering excellent customer service.
• You communicate clearly and professionally with customers.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair forklifts and material handling equipment on-site.
• Communicate clearly with customers about equipment condition, needed repairs, and costs.
• Perform safety inspections to ensure equipment meets all standards.
• Coordinate daily schedules with the Field Service Advisor and dispatch team.
• Complete electronic work orders accurately using company-issued tablets.
• Perform quality checks to ensure every job is completed right the first time.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on customer equipment to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
