Job summary

Shoppa’s Material Handling is seeking a Field Service Technician to inspect, diagnose, and repair forklifts and material handling equipment in the field. You will ensure safe operation, explain repairs to customers, and complete work orders with accuracy.

You will also coordinate with the Field Service Advisor, dispatch, and perform regular safety inspections and preventative maintenance to maximize uptime and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with material handling, heavy industrial, auto, truck, or military equipment.
• Clean driving record.
• Own set of mechanical tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Deliver excellent customer service and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair forklifts and material handling equipment on-site.
• Communicate with customers about equipment condition, repairs, and costs.
• Perform safety inspections to meet standards.
• Coordinate daily schedules with Field Service Advisor and dispatch.
• Complete electronic work orders using tablets.
• Perform quality checks to ensure jobs are completed right the first time.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

As a Field Service Technician, you’ll be the trusted expert our customers count on. You’ll spend your days out in the field inspecting, diagnosing, and fixing customer equipment. You’ll make sure every truck is safe and ready to work, clearly explain any issues and repair needs, complete your work orders, and deliver friendly, dependable service at every stop.

What You’ll Do
