Job summary

FlightSafety International seeks a field installation specialist to coordinate in-house and customer-based integration of flight simulation systems at customer facilities. You will ensure system functionality by following documented test procedures and meeting program specifications.

You will read diagrams, use electronic test equipment, document issues, and coordinate with engineering, service, and QA to resolve problems.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Computer Science, Computer networking and technology, or Electrical Engineering Technology with related experience.
• For Level II/III, additional years of related experience are expected as described in the postings.
• Experience with field installation, testing, and customer interaction is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read block diagrams and wiring diagrams to interpret specifications.
• Use basic electronic test equipment to analyze problems and identify root causes.
• Document and track issues, coordinating with engineering, service, and QA teams.
• Develop and execute detailed written test procedures for customers or programs.
• Communicate status and reports to supervision and customers as required.
• Serve as a liaison between customer and company to ensure high service levels.
• Conduct on-the-job training on operation and maintenance of visual systems.
• Maintain professional behavior and contribute to team problem solving.
• Adhere to export control and security requirements; maintain required compliance.
