Job summary

FlightSafety International is seeking a Simulator Technician to maintain and repair flight training devices (FTDs) per regulatory requirements and company standards. The role may include mechanical modifications to enhance performance.

The incumbent will perform standard simulator support activities, implement configuration changes, and troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic subsystems. Attention to safety and compliance with documentation is essential.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in electronics or completion of electronics tech school preferred.
• 1–3 years’ experience in civilian/military electronics or related technical field.
• Accountability to meet productivity standards and deadlines; careful with quality of work.
• Clear communication and professional interaction; reliable team member.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard Simulator support activities.
• Make configuration changes to Simulators and FTDs; evaluate and confirm proper post-change operation.
• Identify, troubleshoot, repair or replace most electrical/hydraulic components with little supervision.
• Monitor simulator performance to ensure compliance with governmental regulations and standards.
• Demonstrate familiarity with QOPs, SST/QA procedures and related documentation.
• Suggest parts or materials needed for FTD repair and support.
• Report safety hazards per SMS directive.
• Understand Learning Center daily operations and procedures.
