Job summary

FlightSafety International is seeking a skilled Simulator Technician to maintain and repair flight training devices in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal standards. You will perform configuration changes, troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic subsystems, and ensure safe, compliant operation of simulators and FTDs at designated Learning Centers.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in electronics or completion of a civilian/military electronics technical school preferred.
• 1–3 years’ experience in electronics or related technical field.
• Ability to apply knowledge to diagnose and repair electronic, electrical and hydraulic subsystems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair flight training devices (FTDs) in accordance with regulations and company standards.
• Perform standard simulator support activities.
• Make configuration changes to simulators and FTDs and verify proper operation post-change.
• Identify, troubleshoot, repair or replace electrical and hydraulic components with minimal assistance.
• Monitor simulator performance and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrate familiarity with governing regulations for safe operation of all FTDs and facilities.
