L.N. Curtis & Sons in Walnut Creek, CA is seeking a Service Technician to maintain and repair emergency responder equipment across a defined territory. The role involves customer liaison, hands-on servicing of breathing apparatus, hydraulics, and compressor systems, with travel and long hours expected.

The ideal candidate combines mechanical/electrical know-how with strong communication skills and a safety-focused mindset, plus willingness to relocate near King County, WA if needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and understand mechanical and electrical schematic diagrams.
• Working knowledge of basic electrical theory.
• Mechanically inclined and technically competent.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite; Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Capable of safely lifting and operating equipment weighing 75lbs.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in sales or marketing related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide our fire department customers the highest levels of customer care.
• Clean, service and repair intricate breathing apparatus and compressor systems.
• Service and repair hydraulic extrication equipment.
• Schedule appointments; meet with customers to review needs, product and service requirements, and opportunities for a successful relationship.
• Plan and conduct presentations by meeting customers face-to-face regularly.
• Design and implement demonstrations or presentations of company products and services.
• Exchange information with customers on products and services to assist their requirements.
• Generate and develop new opportunities for sale of our products and services.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge on new products, procedures, services and tools.
• Travel away from home consistently for extended periods.
• Maintain an excellent driving record that meets insurance requirements.
• Perform general administrative duties including expense and mileage reports.
