SouthernCarlson, Inc. is seeking an Outside Service Technician to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment at customer sites and branch facilities in Davenport, IA.

The role involves demonstrating operation, providing maintenance training, and coordinating service schedules with customers and sales teams. The position emphasizes strong mechanical skills, customer service orientation, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Experience with machine maintenance, pneumatic tools, or electric power tool repair required.
• Construction, packaging, fastening, or industrial supply experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Customer service and sales-oriented mindset.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to quickly learn and retain technical knowledge.
• Basic computer skills.
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred depending on market needs.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment at customer locations and branch facilities.
• Demonstrate proper equipment operation and provide maintenance training to customers.
• Manage customer service calls and coordinate outside service schedules.
• Identify opportunities to improve customer operations and recommend solutions.
• Process customer orders and support inventory management needs.
• Complete work orders, parts orders, time sheets, and other required documentation.
• Communicate with sales teams to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve issues.
• Deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining productivity and professionalism.
• Work independently to support customers and drive service excellence.
