Job summary

Empire Petroleum Services is seeking a Field Technician to service equipment in the Syracuse, NY area. You will troubleshoot, complete installations, and perform unscheduled repairs and scheduled maintenance based on customer demand while delivering complete customer satisfaction in a polite, professional manner.

The role emphasizes analysis of breakdowns, maintaining van inventory, opening work orders, and following company policies.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and 1-3 years mechanical/electrical experience or equivalent education.
• Ability to read schematics and manuals.
• Excellent people skills and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots problems with customer equipment and recommends corrective actions.
• Provides professional customer service and maintains goodwill.
• Observes and determines corrective actions for service/repair.
• Performs scheduled maintenance according to company procedures.
• Opens and closes work orders, documents repairs, and submits time accurately.
• Maintains van inventory and keeps vehicle clean and hazard-free.
• Performs factory-authorized modifications per specifications.
