Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience: 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Computer skills: basic internet software knowledge.
• Licenses: Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Language: ability to read, write, and speak clearly.
• Math: basic arithmetic including fraction and percent.
• Reasoning: apply common sense to instructions and problems.

Responsibilities

• Reads work orders and observes truck operation to diagnose malfunction.
• Offers solutions and provides estimates when appropriate.
• Performs mechanical repairs after inspection and analysis.
• Records repair details on work orders including model, serial, and hours.
• Obtains customer signature and communicates repair needs.
• Inspects guards, bolts, and safety devices and makes adjustments as needed.
• Lubricates moving parts and drives repaired truck to verify. conforms to specs.
• Represents Equipment Depot professionally and maintains van cleanliness.
• Schedules service with operations or service manager for routine maintenance.
• Works safely to protect customers and Equipment Depot.
• Returns paperwork daily and submits time cards by 9:00 a.m.
