Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
• Experience: One to Three months related experience and/or training – and/or combination of education and experience.
• Computer Skills: Knowledge of internet software.
• Certificates & Licenses: Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Language: Read/interpret safety rules and manuals; write routine reports; speak before groups.
• Math: Basic arithmetic and ratios; interpret graphs.
• Reasoning: Apply common sense to carry out instructions.

Responsibilities

• Reads work orders and observes the truck in operation to diagnose malfunctions.
• Offers solutions to meet customer specifications; provide estimates when appropriate.
• Repairs equipment after complete inspection and analysis of breakdown.
• Records repair descriptions on work orders with model and serial numbers and hours.
• Obtains customer signatures and communicates repair needs and completion.
• Checks safety devices and makes adjustments as needed.
• Lubricates moving parts and tests repaired trucks for conformance.
