Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated, through Teledyne FLIR Defense, is seeking a Field Service Technician to support the deployment, installation, maintenance, and upgrade of advanced EO/IR and surveillance systems across customer sites in the United States, with occasional international travel.

You will be the primary customer-facing technical resource, performing diagnostics, repairs, training, and documentation, while coordinating with engineering and support teams to improve system

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or trade education in Electronics Technology or related field preferred.
• 3–5+ years in field service, electronics repair, or electro-mechanical troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair, and upgrade EO/IR, radar, and electro-mechanical systems at customer sites.
• Provide onsite and remote (telephonic) technical support to customers.
• Document diagnostics, repairs, and failure trends using Microsoft Word.
• Coordinate domestic and international travel for field assignments.
• Collaborate with engineering and the support teams to resolve issues and improve system performance.
• Prepare tools, materials, and test equipment for field assignments.
