Job summary

Teledyne FLIR Defense is seeking a professional Field Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade advanced EO/IR and electro‑mechanical systems at customer sites across the United States. The role emphasizes strong technical troubleshooting, independence, and clear communication with customers.

The FST will travel domestically and occasionally internationally, performing diagnostics, system integration, and training on operation and maintenance while documenting

Qualifications

3–5+ years of hands-on field service experience.
Experience in electronics repair or electro-mechanical troubleshooting.
Experience as Field Service Technician or similar technical role.
Ability to read schematics and technical documentation.
Excellent English communication and travel readiness.

Responsibilities

Perform installation, maintenance, repair, and upgrade of EO/IR and electro‑mechanical systems.
Provide onsite and remote technical support to customers.
Coordinate and execute domestic and occasional international travel.
Prepare detailed service reports documenting diagnostics, repairs, and parts used.
