Job summary

Siddons-Martin Emergency Group is seeking a General Service Technician to support both shop and field service teams. You will help with vehicle maintenance, diagnostics and repairs under supervision, while upholding safety, organization and customer service standards.

You will travel to designated sites as needed and coordinate with the Shop Foreman to ensure timely, quality work and accurate reporting. Prior experience in heavy truck repair is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in automotive service-related industry or technical school certificate.
• Clean driving record with CDL Class B or ability to obtain within six months.
• Knowledge of heavy truck repair principles and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Enforce company policies as defined in SMEG Handbook.
• Interact with service staff and maintain work areas.
• Assist shop/field technicians with vehicle maintenance repairs.
• Perform diagnostics, services and repairs as directed by management.
• Prepare accurate labor time estimates and parts lists for management.
