Job summary

Siddons-Martin Emergency Group is hiring a General Service Technician to support shop and field service operations. You will assist with vehicle maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics under supervision, while adhering to safety and quality standards.

The role requires travel to designated sites as needed, a clean driving record, and the ability to obtain a Class B CDL within six months. Experience in the fire/emergency vehicle sector is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in automotive service or related technical field.
• Clean driving record; Class B CDL or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Knowledge of heavy truck repair principles and procedures.
• EVT and ASE certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Enforce company policies as defined in SMEG Handbook.
• Interact with service staff and maintain clean, safe work areas.
• Assist shop/field technicians under supervision with maintenance repairs.
• Provide accurate labor times and parts lists to supervisors.
• Maintain timely and legible reports and paperwork.
