Job summary

Siddons-Martin Emergency Group is seeking a General Service Technician to support shop and field service operations. Under supervision, you will assist with vehicle maintenance and diagnostics, ensuring timely repairs and adherence to company standards.

The role requires manual dexterity, strong communication, and the ability to work with service staff to meet safety and productivity goals. CDL-B is required or obtainable within six months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in automotive service-related industry.
• Clean CDL Class B license or able to obtain within six months of hire.
• Knowledge of repair principles in heavy truck repair industry.
• EVT Certification and ASE certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Enforce company policies per SMEG handbook.
• Interact with service staff and maintain clean, safe work areas.
• Assist shop/field technicians with vehicle maintenance repairs under supervision.
• Perform accurate vehicle diagnosis, services and repairs as directed by management.
• Provide accurate labor time estimates and complete parts lists.
• Participate in morning meetings and maintain proper reports and paperwork.
• Notice and report potential problems to management before they arise.
