Job summary

Alertus Technologies is seeking an adaptable Field Service Technician to provide on-site support for our unified mass notification systems. You will drive successful service at customer sites, act as the main on-site contact, and ensure high satisfaction, retention, and profitability.

This role requires daily reporting to our Baltimore HQ when not in the field. The ideal candidate has a self-starting attitude, 7+ years in field service or electronics, and the ability to travel up to 70% with

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; associate degree or certification preferred.
• 7+ years of field service, electronics, or electrical-related work.
• Ability to travel up to 70% and work flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

• Support installation, start-up, and testing of Alertus outdoor systems at client sites.
• Serve as main point of contact at job sites for customers.
• Perform quality control on outdoor notification systems.
• Install and supervise indoor notification product installations.
• Build/run cables and troubleshoot wiring.
• Coordinate with customers to schedule regular site visits; site support ~70% of time.
• Monitor system performance and suggest adjustments as needed.
• Evaluate site surveys and prioritize conflicting requests.
• Oversee and sign off on work performed by others.
• Document field issues to improve product design and delivery processes.
• Support current and future implementation projects and assist with planning.
• Other duties as Alertus outdoor warning systems grow.
