Job summary

Putzmeister is seeking a Field Service Technician to service the PA service center in the Allentown area. You will troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, travel to customer sites on short notice, provide hands-on training, and support service centers with parts and warranty issues.

The role requires 75% travel, strong communication, and solid technical experience in heavy equipment. An associate or BS in engineering is preferred; multilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• 5–10 years of technical experience.
• Willingness to travel 75% or more.

Responsibilities

• Manage time and territory to resolve customer equipment problems in the field.
• Travel to customer locations, often on short notice, to troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Communicate repairs, production issues, and product quality to customers and teams.
• Perform in-service or commissioning of new equipment at customer sites; complete handover documentation.
• Provide technical training on machine operation and repair techniques to customers in the field.
• Support agents and customers via email, phone, and other channels; manage warranty issues.
• Coordinate inspections and repairs for boom systems; document records.
• Promote authorized service centers to customers for repairs and parts purchases, in and out of warranty.
• Assist in evaluating potential service centers and measure performance against PM standards.
• Prepare timely field service reports and file weekly.
• Stay updated on industry trends in concrete pumping applications.
