Job summary

Quest International is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electro-mechanical equipment at customer sites in the Washington, D.C. area.

This field-based role requires independent work, frequent travel (up to 80%), and clear communication with customers to ensure service quality and uptime. Applicants should have 1+ year of field service or related electro-mechanical experience, a valid driver's license and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of professional hands-on field service, equipment repair, electronics, maintenance, or similar electro-mechanical experience.
• Experience independently troubleshooting and replacing components.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle.
• Comfortable traveling up to 80%.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable with Windows 10/11 and basic networking, including ping, ipconfig, tracert, DHCP, static IP, DNS, and Remote Desktop.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electro-mechanical equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Diagnose and replace failed components including boards, modules, power supplies, wiring, connectors, sensors, motors, and FRUs.
• Use digital multimeters and other diagnostic/test equipment.
• Read technical manuals, diagrams, SOPs, and service procedures.
• Complete accurate service reports and customer documentation.
• Travel to customer sites and manage changing assignments.
