Job summary

CyberCoders, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician (Industrial Machinery) based in Indianapolis, IN, with 80% travel to customer sites worldwide. You will install equipment, troubleshoot electrical and PLC systems, and support our high‑speed manufacturing machinery.

This hands‑on, field‑oriented role requires PLC experience (Allen-Bradley Logix 5000 / Studio 5000 or Mitsubishi), electrical schematics, and mechanical aptitude. Travel 80% and work on installation, commissioning, and service.

Qualifications

• Hands-on PLC experience with programming changes.
• Ability to read schematics and diagnose electrical/mechanical issues.
• Proven mechanical aptitude and use of precision tools.

Responsibilities

• Travel globally to install, troubleshoot, and service equipment.
• Install Kokusai machinery at customer sites and at the Indianapolis plant.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and PLC systems.
• Assist with assembly, wiring, and debugging of machines.
• Work plant shutdowns for maintenance with enhanced pay.
• Continuously learn and build technical skills during slower periods.

Field Service Technician (Industrial Machinery)

Location:

Indianapolis, IN + 80% Travel

Compensation:

Up to $36/hr + Overtime (1.5x after 40 hours, double-time Sundays/holidays) + Night-Away Bonuses + All Travel Expenses Covered

What You Will Be Doing

• Travel globally: Hit the road or fly out for trips lasting 1 to 3 weeks.
• Install equipment: Set up Kokusai machinery at customer manufacturing sites.
• Troubleshoot systems: Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and PLC
• Build in-house: Help assemble, wire, pipe, and debug machines at our Indianapolis plant.
• Work shutdowns: Tackle maintenance during plant holiday shutdowns (Thanksgiving, Christmas, 4th of July) for double-time pay.
• Learn and develop: Read manuals and build your technical skills during slower in‑office stretches.

What You Need to Bring

• PLC knowledge: Solid, hands‑on experience making actual programming changes in Allen‑Bradley (Logix 5000 / Studio 5000) or Mitsubishi PLCs.
• Electrical skills: Ability to read schematics, trace wiring, and work with relays, VFDs, and servo drives.
• Mechanical aptitude: Experience using precision tools like dial indicators, torque wrenches, and precision levels.
• Grit and work ethic: A self‑starter who doesn't mind getting dirty, crawling under machinery, lifting up to 50 lbs, and putting in hard work.
