Job summary

Tennant Company is seeking a Field Service Technician to diagnose and repair Tennant equipment at customer sites across the region. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic issues and plan daily routes to ensure timely service and clear communication with customers.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of hands-on experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to read schematics. The role includes a company vehicle, comprehensive training, and a benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and meet Tennant Company driving policy requirements.
• 2-3 years of experience: Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.
• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
• Using hand and power shop tools, equipment, and diagnostic devices (multimeter, voltmeter, etc.).
• Using a personal computer, MS Office Suite, and email.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and resolve complex problems by troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems and combustion engine problems on Tennant products.
• Own your territory: plan your daily schedule, contact customers to schedule service activities, and maintain open communication regarding expectations, timelines, and future service needs.
• Create and maintain records of all service activities and reporting documentation.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of Tennant property, vehicle, tools, parts, inventory, and equipment.
• Follow safety protocols and use PPE.
• Collaborate with internal partners to support success.
