Job summary

CraneWorks is seeking a Field Service Technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a range of crane equipment across the Carolinas. The role requires mechanical experience with electrical and hydraulic systems, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Travel for 1–4 day intervals is required. You will read manuals, test equipment after service, complete reports, and provide exceptional customer service while upholding safety standards and company

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Mobile Crane Mechanic/Technician.
• Working knowledge of CANBUS, PAT, EKS, ECOS, LICCON, and Greer systems.
• Reads and understands operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints and drawings.
• Tests mechanical, electronic, electrical and hydraulic products after repair.
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
• Maintains safety, manufacturer procedures and regulatory compliance.
• Completes expense reports and other paperwork promptly.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel 1–4 day intervals; overtime/weekend work as needed.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair crane equipment and perform maintenance.
• Operate and inspect cranes to diagnose defects.
• Test equipment after repair to ensure OEM compliance.
• Review parts and drawings for accuracy before jobs.
• Prepare for jobs by checking parts and drawings.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Maintain safety procedures and regulatory compliance.
• Complete reports, time sheets and paperwork in a timely manner.
• Travel periodically for field assignments (1–4 days).
