Job summary

Genuine Parts Company is seeking MI Conveyance Solutions Field Service Technicians to perform on-site belt installation, splicing, and preventative maintenance. You will also fabricate belts, perform rigging, and handle repairs while ensuring safety and customer satisfaction at customer sites.

The role requires a technical degree with 0–3 years of related experience. Strong communication and the ability to drive company vehicles within a year are essential. 24/7 on-call support may be required.

Qualifications

• Technical degree with 0–3 years related experience or equivalent.
• Ability to read measuring instruments and perform basic math.
• Ability to operate shop equipment safely.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
• Willingness to drive company vehicles within one year; DoT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair conveyor belts on-site and perform preventive maintenance.
• Fabricate belts in shop and perform belt upgrades.
• Perform rigging for lifting belt rolls, presses, and tooling.
• Serve as customer contact for technical issues and service coordination.
• Diagnose equipment problems, document findings, and decide on repairs or replacements.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical support and training to customers on equipment operation.
• Handle on-site emergency repairs as needed (24/7 on-call).
