Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain rotary screw and reciprocating air compressors across multiple southeast US locations, including Chattanooga, TN. You will use precision tools for diagnostic work and must read equipment manuals.

The role requires 2+ years of experience, a valid driver's license, and willingness to be on-call. A company vehicle is provided and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of troubleshooting industrial/mechanical systems.
• Valid driver's license with clean record for 12+ months.
• On-call duties after 90 days; 24/7 standby in a 1-week window as scheduled.
• Physically able to perform regular lifting and movement as per safety policy.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain rotary screw and reciprocating compressors and related components.
• Perform preventative maintenance and assist with parts ordering and customer communications.
• Train apprentices and junior technicians; support field service activities.
