Job summary

Software Placement Group (SPG) is seeking a Field Service Technician to support CNC machinery equipment at customer sites nationwide. This direct-hire role requires 90-100% travel and residence within 50 miles of a major airport.

The position involves installation, troubleshooting, and service for equipment, with strong emphasis on documentation and customer satisfaction. Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship is required.

Qualifications

• Proven customer service skills with a focus on relationships.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision and be highly organized.
• Travel 90-100% and reside within 50 miles of a major airport.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Support sales staff in servicing company equipment.
• Install new equipment at customer sites.
• Provide solutions for equipment service at customer locations.
• Document all service performed and future service needs.
• Maintain customer service and satisfaction.
• Demonstrate software capabilities to customers.
• Prepare timesheets, service reports, and installation forms promptly.
• Track expenses and file expense reports on time.
• Maintain OSHA/MIOSHA compliant safety practices.
• Communicate with other departments as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
