XNRGY Climate Systems is seeking a seasoned Chiller Technician to service high‑performance cooling systems for data centers and AI infrastructure across the continental US. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair chillers, refrigeration circuits, pumps, valves, and related equipment, with significant travel (50–80%).

Qualifications

• 3–7+ years in chiller service or related mechanical field.
• Experience with refrigeration circuits, compressors, pumps, valves and heat exchangers.
• Strong troubleshooting across refrigeration, mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience with air- or water-cooled chillers is preferred.
• Exposure to BAS, BACnet, Modbus or PLCs is a plus.
• Willingness to travel 50–80% and work overtime as needed.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.

About the Role

Join a fast-growing service team supporting mission-critical cooling systems for data centers and advanced industrial environments. You’ll be hands-on with high-performance chillers, refrigeration systems, HVAC equipment, and associated mechanical systems, traveling to job sites, commissioning systems, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring peak performance in the field.

This is a high-impact, travel-intensive role with strong earning potential through overtime and travel.

Travel & Location

• Typical schedule: 2 weeks in the field / 1 week home (flexible based on projects)

• Open to candidates based anywhere in the United States, with preference for candidates located near major airports

• Primary project locations include Amarillo, Texas; Abilene, Texas; and other locations throughout the continental United States as business needs require

• Frequent travel to support commissioning, start-up, service, and warranty activities at customer facilities and data centers

What You’ll Do

• Chiller Service: Troubleshoot, diagnose, service, and repair chillers, refrigeration circuits, compressors, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and associated mechanical components

• Start-Up & Commissioning: Perform mechanical, chiller/refrigeration, electrical, and controls verification (L2–L5)

• Field Service: Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair chillers, refrigeration systems, HVAC equipment, and cooling systems on-site

• System Diagnostics: Diagnose mechanical, refrigerant, electrical, and controls-related issues affecting chiller and cooling system performance

• Rework & Completion: Prepare and finalize units for field deployment, ensuring quality and readiness

• Customer Support: Represent the company in the field with strong communication and professionalism

• Documentation: Complete service reports, track issues, and support continuous improvement

What You Bring

• 3–7+ years of experience in chiller service, commercial/industrial refrigeration, HVAC service, or a related mechanical field

• Strong hands-on Chiller Technician / Chiller Mechanic experience, including troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing commercial or industrial chillers

• Experience working with refrigeration circuits, compressors, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and related chiller components

• Strong troubleshooting skills across refrigeration, mechanical, and electrical systems

• Experience with air-cooled and/or water-cooled chillers is highly preferred

• Exposure to HVAC controls, Building Automation Systems (BAS), BACnet, Modbus, PLCs, or similar control platforms is a plus

• Experience with commissioning/start-up is a plus

• Willingness to travel frequently (50–80%)

• Ability to work extended hours and overtime as needed

• Strong communication and customer-facing skills
