Job summary

Quincy Compressor in Chicago, IL, is seeking a Field Service Technician to deliver on-site service and keep customer equipment performing reliably and safely. You will repair, maintain, and support compressor technology, traveling within your assigned area to service sites and ensure uptime.

You will join the Customer Center Service team and report to the Service Manager, with a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule. A valid driver's license and 3 years of technician experience are required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• 3 years of experience as a technician.
• Expertise in mechanical, electrical, or electronic repair.
• Must supply basic required hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct planned and ad hoc visits to inspect, service, troubleshoot, and repair air compressor systems.
• Diagnose issues to prevent equipment downtime.
• Perform maintenance, ensure safety compliance, and document activities.
• Be the on-site contact, providing service recommendations and addressing customer needs promptly.
• Participate in rotating 24/7/365 on-call pool with other Technicians as scheduled.

Your role

Your mission is to deliver skilled on-site service that keeps our customers’ equipment performing reliably and safely. You use your expertise to repair, maintain, and support the technology they depend on. Through your work, you help customers secure the uptime and performance they need to run their operations with confidence. You join the Customer Center Service team and report into the Operations Manager.

Your day-to-day

• Perform maintenance, ensure safety compliance, and document activities.
• Be the on-site contact, providing service recommendations and addressing customer needs promptly.
• Participate in a rotating 24/7/365 on-call pool with other Technicians as scheduled by the ServiceManager.

You will be part of our Quincy Compressor customer center in Chicago, United States (US). You join a field service team that works close to our customers, where most of your time is spent traveling within your assigned area to support them on-site.
