Job summary

Airgas, Inc. in Sparks, NV, is seeking a Field Service Technician with a CDL (Hazmat) to install, maintain, repair, and remove bulk cryogenic gas systems at customer sites. Travel within a 400-mile radius of Reno, NV, is required; occasional overnight stays may be needed.

This role focuses on on-site service rather than route delivery. You will use hand and power tools to set up Microbulk tanks, monitor gas systems, and complete preventive maintenance while ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Class A or B CDL with Hazmat endorsement
• No more than 2 traffic convictions or at-fault accidents within the last 3 years
• No driving while under the influence within the last 7 years
• 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years OR a Certificate of Completion from a trucking school (last 12 months)

Responsibilities

• Installation & Mechanics: install centralized Microbulk cryogenic tanks and mount control boxes at commercial sites
• Maintenance & Emergency Service: respond to service calls, troubleshoot gas line or tank issues, minimize downtime
• Physical Work: climb ladders, run tubing, drill structures, maneuver large stainless tanks
• Autonomy & Schedule Flexibility: operate independently, travel with potential overnight stays
