Job summary

Friesen’s Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, service, and repair automated processing equipment at customer sites. This role requires moderate to heavy travel, including up to 80% of the time, and on-call availability for field service support.

The ideal candidate will have strong electrical/mechanical experience, be proficient with PLCs, reading schematics, and operating laptop software, and will deliver excellent customer service while training customers as needed.

Qualifications

• Have at least a high school diploma and 5+ years of demonstrated work experience in the manufacturing industry or a 2-year technical degree with 2+ years experience.
• Able to build an electrical panel from scratch.
• Able to read/readable PLC code and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Install, setup, repair, and troubleshoot automated processing equipment onsite or remotely.
• Communicate with field service advisors and engineers to resolve issues.
• Assist with assembly of equipment when not dispatched on a field job.
• Travel up to 80% to customer sites and document trip/expense reports.
