Job summary

Raymond Central is seeking a Field Service Technician to support the Automation, Logistics, and Innovation team. You will install, diagnose, and repair VLM equipment at customer sites, leveraging your technical foundation with Vertical Lift Modules and Vertical Carousels.

This full-time hourly role offers competitive pay, PTO/holidays, medical/dental/vision, retirement matching, tuition reimbursement, and comprehensive training. Some overtime may be required based on customer demands.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years in industrial maintenance or field service.
• At least one year with electrical systems (AC/DC, motors, sensors, relays).
• Ability to travel as needed and valid driver’s license.
• HS Diploma or GED; able to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair VLM equipment at customer sites.
• Perform preventive maintenance according to procedures and cost guidelines.
• Complete paperwork and time records per Mobile Tech Procedures.
• Account for parts, materials, tools, and consumables.
• Drive safely and maintain positive customer relationships.
• Maintain van and equipment; attend trainings and meetings.
• Keep personal tools and work with teams to ensure high-quality service.

We are looking for a Field Service Technician to support the Automation, Logistics, and Innovation team who has previous experience working on Vertical Lift Modules and Vertical Carousel Modules. This person will have a strong technical foundation and previous direct experience with these types of systems.

*This is a full-time, hourly position. Some overtime may be required based on customer demands. Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

• Installation, maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of VLM equipment at the customer location in a timely and cost-effective manner so that all requirements are met.
• Perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment according to established procedures and cost guidelines at customer’s facility.
• Complete all required paperwork and time records accurately and completely follow Mobile Tech Procedures as directed by management.
• Account for all parts, materials, tools, and consumables used as required.
• Drive and work safely in accordance with company and/or customer safety policies and procedures.
• Develop and maintain positive, effective working relationships with customers and co-workers.
• Maintain the van’s interior equipment, storage devices, service manuals and related documents.
• Attend meetings, training classes and other company activities as required.
• Keep an adequate set of personal tools as required by the position.
• Work with all departments and employees to ensure high-quality customer service.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in industrial maintenance, field service, material handling equipment, automation, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of one (1) year of hands on experience with electrical systems, including AC/DC circuits, motors, sensors, relays, and/or control components.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements.
• HS Diploma or GED
• Must be able to push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs
• Must be able to climb ladders and/or work on elevated platforms that may be 15’ to 30’ in height

Ideal candidate will possess:

• Strong mechanical aptitude & ability
• Ability to communicate professionally with customers, technicians, management, manufacturers
• Experience with Kardex Shuttle VLM, Vertical Carousel, RS, and/or Megamat systems
• Experience with Modula or AutoStore robotic storage and retrieval systems
• Experience with PLC-based systems
• Ability to read schematics, diagrams, operation manuals, manufacturer’s specifications
