Job summary

Abel Womack is seeking skilled Field Service Technicians to join our team in Manchester, CT and surrounding areas. This role offers hourly pay of $26–$35 and includes a company-issued service vehicle, extensive training, and long-term career growth in a leading material handling company.

Techs will travel within a defined territory to install, maintain, and repair Raymond battery-powered lift trucks, conveyors, and other automated systems.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Experience with hydraulics, sensors, PLCs or charging systems is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Travel within an assigned territory to install, maintain, and repair Raymond battery-powered lift trucks and related material handling equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment challenges with customers.
• Submit electronic work orders using a company tablet.

What You’ll Do

• Travel within an assigned territory to install, maintain, and repairRaymond battery-powered lift trucksalong with working on warehouse storage systems, conveyors, carousels, and other automated material handling equipment
• Work directly with our customers to troubleshoot and resolve equipment challenges
• Apply and grow your mechanical and technical skills through continuous training
• Submit electronic work orders efficiently using a company-provided tablet
• Represent Abel Womack with professionalism and excellent customer service

Qualifications and Skills

• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and/or electrical equipment with a focus on quality, efficiency, and cost-effective maintenance .
• Experience with electrical fuel systems, sensor technology, hydraulics, PLCs, or charging systems (a plus)
• Ability to read schematics, maps, blueprints, and manuals
• Ability to communicate regular by phone and in person with team members, parts representatives, technical specialists, dispatch, lead service techs, and customers, required
• Demonstrated ability to maintain a professional demeanor and build positive customer relationships by consistently delivering excellent customer service
• Must provide your own basic mechanic tools; specialty tools will be provided
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. regularly
