Job summary
dormakaba is seeking a Field Service Technician based in Chicago, IL to install and service automatic door systems and related equipment at customer sites. Travel within the territory, with occasional overnight assignments, is required.
The ideal candidate has a valid driver's license, the physical ability to lift 50 lbs, and the skill to use hand and power tools. AAADM certification and 1+ year of door installation/maintenance experience are preferred.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license is required.
- Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds and overhead work.
- Ability to use hand and power tools for installation, maintenance and repair.
- AAADM certification preferred.
- 1+ years' experience with automatic door installation/maintenance or similar industry.
Responsibilities
- Perform service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of automatic sliding door systems at customer locations
- Communicate with sales and service management about customer needs and sales opportunities
- Maintain accurate project and/or service data through diligent and timely use of all documentation and technical data
- Travel to customer sites throughout the assigned territory, including day trips and occasional overnight travel
