Job summary

dormakaba is seeking a Field Service Technician based in Knoxville, TN. The Field Service Technician installs and services automatic doors, equipment, and control devices, and performs preventive maintenance on related systems.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, data documentation, and coordination with sales and service teams. Expect travel within the assigned territory, occasional overnight assignments, and a pre-employment drug test as part of our safety standards.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring standing, stooping, crawling, twisting, bending, pushing, pulling, climbing and working overhead.
• Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools for installation, maintenance and repair work.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, troubleshoot, and install automatic sliding door systems at customer sites.
• Communicate with sales and service management about customer needs and sales opportunities.
• Maintain accurate project and service data through timely documentation and data entry.
• Travel to customer sites within the assigned territory, with day trips up to 4 hours one way and occasional overnight travel up to one week with per diem.
