Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems seeks an Installation Technician to install, service and upgrade automated pedestrian doors in our Virginia locations. You’ll diagnose electro‑mechanical issues, work with aluminum frames and glazing, and maintain safety and quality in every customer interaction.

The role requires 3–5 years in storefront/door installations, AAADM certification within 6 months of hire, and a valid driver’s license. We offer comprehensive benefits and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in storefront doors, glazing, or related industry.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• AAADM certification within 6 months of employment and ongoing maintenance.
• Mechanical aptitude with experience repairing electro‑mechanical devices.
• Knowledge of basic electrical circuits and low‑voltage wiring (120V).
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Perform service and installation following manufacturers’ procedures.
• Document time, issues, shortages, and site conditions clearly.
• Work safely to protect yourself, coworkers, contractors, and the public.
• Wear and maintain PPE as required.
• Conduct planned maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on automated doors.
• Diagnose issues with electro‑mechanical devices, electrical circuits, and relays.
• Work with aluminum frames, glazing, hardware, and low‑voltage wiring.
• Maintain professional communication with customers and contractors.
• Participate in training programs and on‑call rotations after certification.
