Job summary

Sunbelt Solomon is seeking a Field Service Technician to inspect, test, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical power distribution equipment in the Atlanta area. You will work hands-on with a variety of systems, deliver exceptional service in the field, and represent Sunbelt Solomon to customers on-site.

You will travel locally and regionally, respond to outages or emergencies, and uphold safety standards while documenting daily field reports and equipment handling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or associate degree in electrical trades preferred.
• NETA 2 certification preferred; will substitute 3+ years of relevant work experience on commercial or industrial electrical projects.
• Must have strong communication skills and commitment to exceptional customer service.
• Ability to read and interpret one-line diagrams and control schematics.
• Skilled in use of industrial electrical test equipment and hand tools.
• Strong safety mindset including PPE, lockout/tagout, and hazard awareness.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and maintain low-, medium-, and high-voltage electrical distribution equipment.
• Perform electrical testing on transformers, breakers, switchgear, relays, and related equipment.
• Respond to customer needs, including occasional emergency calls, with professionalism and urgency.
• Ensure a safe work environment by following company and customer safety standards.
• Maintain accurate daily reports and documentation of field activities.
• Properly manage, check in/out, and care for company tools and test equipment.
• Travel locally and regionally, with periodic overnight assignments.
