Job summary

Sunbelt Solomon, a leading provider of transformer and power distribution solutions, is seeking a Field Service Technician to inspect, test, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical distribution equipment at customer sites across North America.

You will travel locally and regionally, respond to emergencies, and document activities while upholding safety standards; a high school diploma and technical training are required, with NETA 3 preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical training preferred.
• NETA 3 certification preferred; can substitute 5–10 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to exceptional customer service.
• Safety-focused with PPE use, lockout/tagout, and hazard awareness.
• Ability to read and interpret one-line diagrams and control schematics.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet background and drug-screen requirements.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and maintain low-, medium-, and high-voltage electrical distribution equipment.
• Perform electrical testing on transformers, breakers, switchgear, relays, and related equipment.
• Respond to customer needs— including occasional emergency calls— with professionalism and urgency.
• Ensure a safe work environment by following company and customer safety standards.
• Maintain accurate daily reports and documentation.
• Properly manage, check in/out, and care for company tools and test equipment.
• Travel locally and regionally, with periodic overnight assignments.

What You Bring
