Job summary

Crown is seeking an entry‑level field service technician to support customers in Westbrook, ME. You will troubleshoot, diagnose and repair Crown and other lift trucks and perform planned maintenance on site.

You will also maintain the service van, manage its inventory and complete required paperwork after each job, ensuring safety and reliability of fleet operations. A HS diploma and up to 2 years of related experience are preferred, with a valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Less than 2 years related experience is accepted.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; able to operate lift trucks safely.

Minimum Qualifications

• Less than 2 years related experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to safely operate lift trucks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes, knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and hydraulics and internal combustion engines, and the ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Good written/verbal communication and customer care skills.
• Technical degree, previous lift truck repair, welding experience, and knowledge of various types of testing equipment preferred.
• Familiar with tools and equipment such as common hand tools, electrical/air tools, torch, arc welder and various types of testing equipment.
• Industry related training is preferred
• Ability to read and understand service manuals, plan, and follow-through
