Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance on rotating equipment.

• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Assemble equipment per specs and verify tolerances.
• Assist customers with pump removal/installation, alignment, and diagnostics.
• Maintain paperwork and timesheets.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and shop cleanliness.

Summary

The Service Technician is responsible for repairs and maintenance of rotating equipment, including pumps, gearboxes, valves, blowers, and vacuum pumps. Services are performed in our repair facility in West Springfield, MA, or at customer locations in the field. The Technician maintains a safe, clean work area and complies with OSHA regulations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Complete initial inspection and required paperwork for all items to be repaired or serviced.
• Disassemble equipment while marking parts and documenting the current condition.
• Sand blast and paint items as required.
• Identify items needed for repair.
• Measure all required parts for inspection reports.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with equipment using precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Assemble equipment per manufacturer specifications and verify acceptable tolerances.
• Assist customers with tasks such as pump removal, pump installation, shaft alignment, vibration analysis, and lubrication maintenance.
• Maintain and complete required paperwork and timesheets.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and clean up the shop.
