Job summary

Culligan by WaterCo in West Reading, PA is hiring a field service technician to operate company vehicles, follow safety procedures, and complete daily service orders. You’ll diagnose, install or remove residential and commercial water treatment equipment and communicate status to customers while building strong relationships.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, at least one year of plumbing or maintenance experience, and the ability to work Saturdays or evenings.

• Minimum of one year of plumbing or maintenance experience.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to work Saturdays/evenings and on-call.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Safe operation of a Company vehicle in accordance with state and federal DOT laws.
• Adherence to established safety procedures.
• Completion of daily service orders promptly.
• Diagnose, install or remove water treatment equipment; identify malfunctions and resolve accordingly.
• Foster customer relationships through direct interaction, effectively communicating equipment status and providing problem-solving solutions.
• Ensure timely collection of payments upon service completion and assist in past due receivables collection.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Work Location:

• Based at our West Reading, PA office, with occasional travel to nearby Culligan branches as required.
• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable transportation to and back from work
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Familiarity with the city area where duties will be performed
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal/written)
• Please note, candidates offered a position must undergo a DOT physical (at the time of hire and every two years thereafter), a drug screen, and a background check in line with state and Federal laws.
• Minimum of one year of plumbing or maintenance is required
• Face-to-face customer service

Able to work Saturdays and evenings if needed

Able to work a rotating on-call schedule

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift over 100 pounds
• Ability to drive for extended periods (2-3 hours)
• Ability to kneel/bend for extended periods.
