Field Service Technician (7 Openings – Nationwide, 75% Travel)

Salary: $60,000–$72,000 annually ($29–$35/hour) + overtime eligible (time-and-a-half)

Location: Remote – Open to candidates located anywhere in the U.S.

Travel: 75%+ domestic travel; occasional international travel

About the Role

A leading manufacturer of advanced machinery is hiring multiple Field Service Technicians to join their growing U.S. team. This is a highly hands-on role with significant travel across the country and occasional visits to the company’s U.S. headquarters in Pennsylvania for training. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being on the road, solving technical problems, and working independently in the field.

What You’ll Do

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on highly specialized machinery.
• Troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and validate complex systems.
• Support equipment installation, FAT/SAT testing, and customer training.
• Conduct qualification procedures (IQ/OQ/PQ), thermal mapping, and cycle development.
• Maintain detailed service documentation and administrative records.
• Collaborate closely with customers and internal technical teams.
• Represent the company with professionalism and technical expertise in customer environments.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience
• 2+ years of experience using diagnostic tools (voltmeters, amp probes, temp/pressure calibration tools)
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and electrical/pneumatic schematics
• Strong problem-solving skills and technical curiosity
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport
• Comfort with frequent air and car travel
• High attention to detail and excellent interpersonal communication skills

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with sterilization or steam systems
• Experience in biopharma or life sciences environments
• Working knowledge of industrial controls, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite
