Job Description:

Position Summary:

Provide project management, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and customer support for our machinery. Demonstrate strong technical, customer service, and communication skills. Train customer staff in machine operation and maintenance. Seek opportunities to improve products, generate revenue, and enhance customer value.

Responsibilities:

  1. Travel: Travel approximately 75% to customer sites for service, installation, and training. Manage travel arrangements effectively.
  2. Installation & Service: Install equipment, perform troubleshooting, system audits, preventive maintenance, and system upgrades. Maintain excellent customer relations.
  3. Troubleshooting: Address start-up and design issues, program PLC and HMI logic, and utilize internal resources.
  4. Project Management: Lead on-site installation and training, establish rapport with customers, and develop schedules.
  5. Documentation: Complete all reports and documentation accurately and timely. Provide process improvement feedback.
  6. Customer Acceptance Testing: Perform acceptance tests, identify defects, and obtain sign-offs.
  7. Training: Maintain technical proficiency, train new technicians, and develop training sessions for customers.
  8. Customer Support: Provide technical support via phone, seek assistance when needed, and participate in emergency support programs.
  9. Procedures & Tools: Follow safety practices, complete administrative paperwork, suggest product improvements, and assist team members.
  10. Physical Requirements: Capable of lifting 50 lbs, full range of motion, working seated or standing, and working at heights.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma or G.E.D.; technical degree preferred.
  • 5-7 years experience in industrial machinery, with strong electrical/mechanical/PLC skills.
  • Technical skills in industrial equipment, troubleshooting, control systems, and PLC programming.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and office skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively.

Compensation & Benefits: $26-32/hr DOE; comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401K, paid time off, and holidays.
