Otovo in Missouri is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair residential and commercial solar energy systems, battery storage solutions, and generators.

This hands-on position requires electrical expertise, strict safety, and strong communication as you travel to local sites to install, service, and upgrade systems in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of electrical experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• State electrical certification or license (Journeyman, Wireman, or equivalent).
• Ability to read electrical schematics.
• Willingness to travel locally and work overtime as needed.
• Strong understanding of NEC, AHJ, and utility interconnection requirements.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair solar panels, inverters, batteries, generators, and related equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance including panel cleaning, wiring inspections, inverter testing, and battery health assessments.
• Commission new systems and upgrades while ensuring NEC/AHJ and utility compliance.
• Utilize diagnostic tools such as multimeters, clamp meters, and thermal imaging equipment.
• Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and photo documentation.
• Follow safety procedures including PPE usage, lockout/tagout, and fall protection requirements.
• Respond to emergency service calls and warranty repairs as needed.
• Communicate effectively with homeowners regarding system status and repair recommendations.
• Represent Otovo professionally at customer sites.
