Position at a Glance
Location: Scranton, PA
Position Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

What You’ll Do
- Perform unsupervised diagnostics and repairs of most vehicle components at customer job sites
- Conduct major component repairs, overhauls, and electrical/A/C system repairs
- Communicate daily with the service department to coordinate workflow and parts needs
- Track and tag warranty parts; maintain documentation for warranty claims including EDS and TCS cases
- Maintain productivity (>80%) and efficiency (>95%) while performing quality work
- Assist other technicians on major repairs and participate in team projects
- Road test vehicles and inspect newly delivered units for damage or missing components
- Install optional equipment and report machinery defects
- Maintain clean and organized service truck, customer work area, and shop environment
- Participate in OEM/vendor training programs and maintain certifications with minimum 90% passing grade
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations and Hunter Truck safety policies
What You Bring
- Education & Experience: Vocational/technical school graduate with a minimum of 5 years related experience or an equivalent combination. Must have experience in engine and driveline troubleshooting, electrical repair, A/C systems, and component overhaul or specialty experience. Must have a good supply of hand tools to complete most repairs.
- Certificates & Licenses: Valid Driver’s License required; must meet company insurability standards. Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B or above required; must meet company insurability standards. Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications required. Drive Train Certification for Medium/Heavy Truck required. Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Certification for Medium/Heavy Truck required. State Vehicle Inspector Certification (Class 7) required. MX Engine Certified required. Cummins MD and HD Certification required.
- Physical Requirements: Regular standing and use of hands; frequent walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; regularly lift/move up to 50 lbs, frequently lift/move more than 100 lbs, occasionally more than 100 lbs. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
