Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a maintenance technician to troubleshoot, disassemble, repair, and service passenger loading bridges, baggage transport systems, ground power generators, HVAC systems, and portable water units in a Florida facility.

Candidates should have a HS diploma or equivalent, be 18+, hold a valid driver's license, and be able to read, write, and communicate in English. Rotating shifts and TWU union terms may apply.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting, disassembly, checking and cleaning, repairing, replacing, testing, adjusting, assembling, installing, servicing, fabricating, and inspecting passenger loading bridges, baggage transport systems, ground power generators, HVAC systems, and portable water units.
• Comply with site security procedures and report security breaches.
• Certify for quality of workmanship.
• Follow FAA and Company regulations and supervisor instructions.
• Complete forms related to work assignments.

Job description

• Troubleshooting, disassembly, checking and cleaning, repairing, replacing, testing, adjusting, assembling, installing, servicing, fabricating, and inspecting passenger loading bridges, baggage transport systems, ground power generators, HVAC systems, and portable water units.
• Comply with WFS site security procedures for assigned warehouse and other operations.
• Report security breaches, suspicious occurrences, or non-compliance with the site security plan to managers or via the WFS whistleblower program.
• Certifies for quality of own workmanship.
• Work according to FAA and Company regulations and procedures and instructions from Lead or supervisor.
• Complete forms connected with work assignments according to established procedures.

Requirements

• HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, i.e., Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), holidays, and days-off.
• This job is covered by a collective bargaining agreement of the Transport Workers Union (TWU), a labor union which requires joining the TWU and paying union dues.
• Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language.
