Job description

Join Us, and Ship Robots

Weave was founded to build the robots we’d want to have in our own home. We believe the next generation of robotics will transform everyday life by enabling people to do more and to reclaim time to spend on what’s important.

We also believe robots are in a sense like any other product: to matter, they have to ship. Our robots are already operating in real homes and businesses, giving us the opportunity to rapidly improve from real-world experience. With a growing team, strong customer demand, and capital for expansion, we’re entering an exciting stage of growth—and we’re looking for people with exceptional talent and standards to help bring home robotics to millions of households.

The Role

Our robots run in real homes and businesses across a growing number of locations, and the fleet gets bigger every week. How well those robots run day to day is the customer experience, and keeping them running is this role.

You’ll keep robots working in the field: installs, maintenance, repairs, and on-site diagnosis when remote support can't resolve an issue. You'll run your own schedule and route, decide on-site whether to repair or swap, and document what you find well enough that engineering can fix the root cause. You're also the person from Weave the customer actually meets, so clear communication and care in someone's home matter as much as the repair itself.

Responsibilities
  • Deploy robotic systems: Install, configure, calibrate, and validate robots at customer locations, ensuring successful deployments and a seamless customer experience.
  • Maintain fleet health: Perform preventative maintenance, upgrades, repairs, and hardware replacements to keep robots operating reliably.
  • Diagnose, resolve, and track issues: Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, software and networking issues in the field, coordinating with engineering teams when needed.
  • Improve operational processes: Help refine deployment procedures, service documentation, and troubleshooting workflows as the fleet grows.
  • Support customers: Directly interface with customers to help them understand robot capabilities, best practices, and new features as needed during visits.
What You'll Bring
  • Field service expertise: 2+ years deploying, servicing, or supporting complex electromechanical, robotic, industrial automation, or network-connected systems.
  • Systems troubleshooting: Proven ability to diagnose issues spanning mechanical assemblies, electrical systems, networking, and application software using structured root-cause analysis.
  • Hardware debugging: Comfortable using a multimeter and standard diagnostic equipment to isolate electrical faults.
  • Technical fluency: Comfortable working through runbooks, diagnostic tools, and system logs with training; familiarity with Linux or command-line tools is welcome but not required.
  • Customer-facing communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly, manage customer expectations, and represent Weave professionally on-site.
  • Documentation and issue tracking: Experience documenting issues, collecting diagnostic logs, reproducing failures, and working with ticketing systems such as Jira, Linear, ServiceNow, Zendesk, or similar platforms.
  • Independent execution: Comfortable managing field visits independently, prioritizing work, and making sound decisions with minimal supervision. Comfortable with a background check and a van-and-schedule working rhythm; customer homes are the job site.
Nice to Have
  • Experience supporting robotics, AMRs, AGVs, autonomous systems, or industrial automation equipment.
  • Familiarity with TCP/IP networking, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, DHCP, and remote connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with ROS/ROS 2, embedded Linux, or robotics software stacks.
