Job summary

A technology services company in Roseville, CA, seeks a Desktop Support/Field Service Technician. This long-term contract role requires A+ Certification and solid experience in troubleshooting Laptops and Desktops. You will drive to customer locations to perform repairs, and overtime may be necessary. We offer a standard pay rate and mileage reimbursement. Candidates must be prepared for a background check and to complete Dell certification training at no cost.

Qualifications

• A+ Certification is mandatory.
• Dell certification is a plus.
• Good experience working on Laptops and Desktops is mandatory.
• Good experience in Break/Fix is required.

Job Details

• Title: Desktop Support/Field Service Technician/Computer Driving Technician
• Location: Roseville, CA (We hire for many locations in the US)
• Type of Job: Long term Contract/Contract to permanent

Job Role / Duties

• Drive to various customer locations from the pickup parts location that is the hiring location.
• Visit both business offices and homes to repair, troubleshoot, and break‑fix Computers, Desktops, Laptops, and Printers.
• Use your own car to travel for job service to the customers.
• Work primarily for Dell products – previous experience is a plus.
• Travel within a radius of 50 to 70 miles from the pickup parts location.
• Maintain a professional appearance and manner of speaking.
• Be prepared for overtime work and extensive driving (approximately 300 miles per week).

Required Skills

• A+ Certification is mandatory (training/expired status is also accepted).
• Dell or any other product manufacturer certification is a plus.
• Good experience working on Laptops and Desktops is mandatory.
• Good experience in Break/Fix is required.

IMPORTANT POINTS

• Once the job is offered you must undergo a background check process along with the driving record check.
• You must take Dell certifications training (online) and complete the certifications – this is free.
• Be ready for a contract agreement with the terms and conditions of the company.
• Pay will be paid biweekly for the hours approved.
