Position Overview

Our client is seeking a Field Service Technician to troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain high-speed cash-handling and paper-processing equipment throughout the Portland area.

What You'll Do

  • Install new equipment and complete hardware and software upgrades.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, logic diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
  • Keep customers informed throughout service and repair work.
  • Manage assigned tools, replacement parts, and service inventory.
  • Complete service documentation and required system updates.
  • Stay current on equipment changes, upgrades, and technical procedures.
  • Follow company safety and Environmental Health & Safety requirements.
What You'll Bring
  • Hands-on experience with electro-mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment at the PCB or component level.
  • Knowledge of AC/DC power distribution and digital/analog circuitry.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, email, and network navigation.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a field-service environment.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Experience
  • 3-5 years of technical field service or equipment repair experience.
  • Electro-mechanical, electronics, automation, or electrical training/certification.
  • Cash-handling or high-speed paper-processing equipment.
  • ATM, copier, check sorter, mail sorter, or currency sorter repair.
  • Aviation, medical equipment, vending equipment, military repair, or similar technical experience.
SCHEDULE & TRAVEL
  • Field-based position servicing Portland and surrounding areas.
  • Company vehicle provided for travel between home and customer locations.
  • Rotating on-call coverage, typically once every 3-5 weeks.
  • Some evening, weekend, and holiday coverage may be required.
  • Occasional overnight or air travel outside the territory may be needed.
  • Customer locations may include financial institutions, casinos, retail locations, truck stops, and other commercial sites.
Benefits & Perks
  • Company vehicle and insurance.
  • 401(k) with company match.
  • Company retirement contribution, even if you do not participate in the 401(k).
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Annual bonus opportunities.
  • Paid vacation and sick time.
  • 9-11 paid holidays, depending on start date.
  • Paid parental leave.
  • Company-paid life insurance and AD&D.
  • Short-term and long-term disability.
  • Education and professional development assistance.
  • Employee Assistance Program.
  • Flexible Spending and Dependent Care Accounts.
  • Internal promotion and career advancement opportunities.
WHY JOIN?
