Job summary

ZEISS Group in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, repair, troubleshoot, service, and calibrate high-precision CMMs at customer sites. You will complete a comprehensive training program and then travel regionally to diverse environments, maintaining detailed service records.

The role requires high school completion or technical training, and a valid driver’s license. Expect 70-90% travel, company vehicle, and strong growth opportunities within ZEISS.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school graduation or GED.
• Tech School, associate, or bachelor’s in Electronics, Industrial Mechanics, or similar.
• Military technical training acceptable.
• Experience with hand tools and basic electrical test equipment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Windows operation system.
• Valid Driver’s License required.

Location/Region: Position will work in the Phoenix, AZ and surrounding area.

Here’s What You’ll Do

• Engage in a comprehensive ~3 month in field and classroom training program to ensure you have the skills and tools to be successful.


• Once trained, you will travel to customer sites in your region to Install, Repair, Troubleshoot, Service and Calibrate the most advanced measuring instruments in the world.


• Work hands on to learn new skills on high tech CMM's (Coordinate Measuring Machines) utilizing mechanical and electronic aptitude.


• Document service work and maintain accurate service records.


• Work independently while representing the company in a fast-paced and innovative environment.

What We Are Looking For

• Minimum, High School graduate, completed GED or equivalent.


• Or, Tech School, associate, or bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as, Electronics, Industrial Mechanics, and the like.


• Or, Training and experience from a Military Technical School.


• Prior experience working with hand tools and basic electrical test equipment.


• Microsoft operating system knowledge is required.


• Capable of unassisted physical lift of one article weighing up to 75 pounds.


• Able and willing to work minimum of 50 hours per work week. Regular + OT.


• Ability to work in an industrial production shop floor environment.


• Valid Driver License required.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience installing and troubleshooting industrial electronics, machines, or computer systems.


• Previous CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) installation and troubleshooting experience is preferred however not required.

• Competitive base pay


• OT: Average OT is 10 hours a week and paid out at time and half - we basically pay for your travel time!


• Annual bonus program: - eligible for an additional bonus at the end of the year.
