Job summary

ZEISS Group is seeking a Field Service Technician in the Allentown, PA area to travel regionally and service precision measurement instruments. You will install, repair, troubleshoot, and calibrate advanced CMMs, working hands-on with high-tech equipment and maintaining thorough service records.

Applicants should have a technical background or degree, strong tool and electronics skills, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds. A valid driver's license and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School graduate, GED or equivalent; technical schooling or degree preferred.
• Training or experience from a Military Technical School acceptable.
• Experience with hand tools and basic electrical test equipment required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows operating systems.
• Capable of unassisted lift up to 75 pounds and physical field work.
• Willing and able to travel 50+ hours per week in a regional territory.

Responsibilities

• Travel within the region to install, repair, troubleshoot, service and calibrate advanced measuring instruments (CMMs).
• Work hands-on on high-tech CMMs using mechanical and electronic aptitude.
• Document service work and maintain accurate service records.
• Represent ZEISS professionally at customer sites in a fast-paced environment.
