Location: North Carolina-based (Travel in the Southeast region)

A company that specializes in manufacturing high-quality CNC tool and cutter grinders is hiring a Field Service Technician to provide professional service and technical support for machine tool installations, breakdowns, quality, reliability, and product performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment while maintaining fine tolerances
• Prepare detailed service reports on work performed
• Rebuild and recondition CNC machines
• Build and retain positive customer relationships that highlight the business's strengths in service and support
• Provide input/suggestions to enhance company products to meet customer requirements

Required Skills:

• Demonstrated mechanical engineering skills and ability
• Demonstrated electrical skills and ability
• Experience in CNC programming (preferred, but not essential)
• Experience with Automation, including Fanuc and Nachi robotic systems (preferred, but not essential)
• Experience with the operation of CNC machine tools in a production environment, ideally with tool and cutter grinding machines
• Ability to investigate technical and service issues, with strong fault-finding skills
• Frequent travel that includes overnight stays is to be expected
